Giving
Members of our
congregation and parish give regularly and generously to maintain the
church building and our regular work. Like all Church of England
parishes, we have to be self-supporting and pay our way. There are many
myths about the 'church's millions' or government subsidies!
With a building
like ours in a deprived community this is a huge challenge. If you have
enjoyed visiting the church or this website, and if you value God's
generosity which far exceeds our efforts, please help us rise to the
challenge by making a donation.
You can do this
- by regular standing order:
download the form on this website, complete it, and bring or post it to
us. This is the most cost-effective way of giving, as it requires
minimal administration and greatly helps us in our budgeting process.
- by one-off or regular Gift Aid
contributions: download the form on this website and bring or post it
to us with cash or a cheque. The form enables us to reclaim tax on any
previous or future gifts as well, so long as they can be traced to you
(by cheque, or by a pack of numbered enveloped which we can provide).
You can also use the yellow Gift Aid envelopes available at church for
occasional Gift Aid donations.
Gift Aid is important
because it enables charities and non-profit organisations to claim back
the tax you have already paid on your donation, which adds up to a
significant sum over the year. So if you pay tax, be sure to make your
giving tax-efficient, enabling the government to play its part by
adding 28% to the value of your gift (the percentage remains at this
level for the time being even though tax rates have fallen).
Regular worshippers are also encouraged to use these forms and envelopes.
Your giving is confidential - only the appointed officers handle the forms and envelopes.
Thank you for your support. God bless you.
You can also download a .pdf version of the church electoral roll form to print and complete.
